"Feast of the Bellunesi in the world at El Bon de l'Ansuda"

On the occasion of the year of “Roots Tourism” the Municipality of Falcade will host the “Festa dei bellunesi nelmondo” and will do so on the occasion of the traditional appointment “El Bon de l’Ansuda”, or the “Spring Festival of Falcade”.
The date set is Sunday, June 16, 2024.
This festival officially inaugurates the summer season in Val Biois, one of the seven valleys of the Agordino area, the heart of the
Dolomites, and it is an unmissable opportunity to experience first-hand a colourful Dolomite event
full of tradition and fun for the whole family.
The presence of emigrants and members of the Bellunesi nel Mondo Association will further enrich this historic event.
For lunch, a special themed menu “El Bon de l’Ansuda” will be offered at the Palafalcade structure which will be set up for the emigrants who will participate in the “Feast of the Bellunesi in the world”.
It will be present in the
panoramic flat of Falcade there is also a space dedicated to the themed market fair, with over sixty exhibitors.
In addition, at the same time, the MUSAL Albino Luciani Museum in Canale d’Agordo and the Augusto Murer Museum in Falcade will be open.
The Piana di Falcade will host the corner of farmyard animals and donkeys; there will be the usual, much-loved demonstrations of local crafts: the exhibition of bows and arrows, a demonstration of wooden sculpture with local artists, and “Morai sui Prai”, with a carving demonstration
traditional construction beams for barns, a mowing competition in traditional clothes, the presentation of books with the authors, insights into the recognition and use of wild herbs from mountain meadows, cooking lessons by Agrichef Fabrizio Pescosta who will use wild herbs to make dishes, workshop on the preparation of ointments and cosmetics by Dr. Ester Andrich, Walks to discover the area with local experts, aperitif corner with wild herbs.
On the occasion of the year of roots tourism, a guide dedicated to the descendants of the Municipality of Falcade will be created,
Vallada, Canale d’Agordo Cencenighe and San Tomaso Agordino which will be distributed on this occasion.
The educational workshop “Build your family tree” will also be carried out, giving all the information about where to find birth certificates and the house (if still present) from where the ancestors had left from this area of the province of Belluno.
